Corporate Transparency Act

On 3/26/2025, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network or FinCEN issued an interim final rule narrowing the entities that are required to report beneficial ownership information (BOI) under the Corporate Transparency Act. Only entities formed under the law of a foreign country and have registered to do business in the U.S. are required to report BOI. License Renewal

A physician needs to make sure his/her license is renewed well before the expiration date. Set a reminder on your phone or ask your practice manager to remind you. Doctor Shopping Guide

If a prescriber has actual knowledge that a patient has knowingly, willfully and with an intent to deceive, obtained or attempted to obtain a controlled substance or one with similar therapeutic use within the previous 30 days from another prescriber, the patient must be reported to law enforcement. This requirement is applicable regardless of the number of employees in a company.
