TMA Signs Letter Urging Congress to Extend the Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs)

The Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) joined state and national medical associations in signing a letter urging Congress to extend the Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs).

“These enhanced credits have made health coverage more affordable for the more than 24 million Americans who purchased coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces in 2025, including many who are older, live in rural areas, or operate small businesses,” reads the letter.

TMA recently advocated for this issue through a call to action. Signing this letter shows TMA’s support of APTCs, which affects about 650,000 Tennesseans.
